Remember when stag and hen parties happened in the pub by yours with a few willy whistles and a ropey stripper? Well thats a thing of the past. More and more stags and hens are choosing to jump a flight abroad with their friends for a final party weekend before married life begins. This summer the girls and I ended up in Croatia celebrating the upcoming wedding of my friend Georgia. Thirteen of us stayed in Novalja which became famous because of Zrce Beach, one of the biggest summer party zones in Europe.

Getting there

Flying from Manchester to Zadar took around 2hrs 50 and an unexpected 2 hour mini bus ride left us all wondering would it be worth the journey. In short, it really is!

Where we stayed

Novalja it’s booming! Loads of bars, restaurants and we found a fab little nightclub. Great for couples too I’d say. We stayed in a gorgeous apartment block Villa Maelise, which I would recommend without hesitation. Just a 2 min walk from a few beautiful  restaurants and cocktail bars right on the beach front.

Where to go

Papaya Zacre Beach was a brilliant night out! I’m not a clubber by any stretch of the imagination but we all had a total ball! People bungee jumping off the top of the stage, huge light shows and an atmosphere like no other is to be expected.

I do love a good pool party and Aquarius Zacre Beach is unreal! We got 2 cabanas, drinks and 2 private plunge pools for around £70 each! Ask for the A2 Premium Zone, best seats in the house!

Should you go

It really does give Iiza a run for its money! I will be honest and say we were just not prepared for how gorgeous it was. Yes we did our best to keep up with the fun and festivities but Croatia is one of the most beautiful places you could visit. So if you are bored of Benidorm, sick of Salou, fed up with Faliraki (I could go on for days here ha!) Check Croatia out. I would go back in a heartbeat x
