Wanna try the Uk’s first Singing Diner? Well of course its in Liverpool so head straight to Seel Street to enjoy this one of a kind, sing out loud, uplifting musical restaurant.
The gorgeous surroundings of Mulholland Bar inside Liverpool’s top movie themed Arthouse Hotel is the perfect setting for this fun family friendly experience. When my kids could drag themselves away from the giant King Kong statue they feasted on pizza and milkshakes complete with whipped cream and doughnuts. Then sat gobsmacked as the staff burst into song at any given moment.
From snacks like chilli and lime flavoured popcorn and breaded mozzarella with tomato salsa to foot long hotdogs, nachos and amazing pizzas, there’s something for everyone. Throw in the talented staff singing their hearts out performing the big hits from Disney Movies, musicals and more you are in for a dinner you won’t forget.
It is being modelled on Ellen’s Stardust Diner in New York’s Times Square, which has been staffed by performers for more than 30 years and managing director Kris Mochrie said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing our cast of singing waiters to the Mulholland dining experience. All of our waiting staff are local performing arts and drama students at various academies and colleges throughout the city. It’s truly amazing that we have such amazing and talented homegrown stars in our city and coming through our doors to entertain and perform for our diners.”
Performers studying at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, John Moores University and Liverpool Theatre School are among the staff.
I asked the kids to rate this one… a solid 10/10 from them both!
